Punjab Finance, Planning and Development Minister Tanvir Ashraf Kaira has said that the Punjab Pension Fund (PPF) would be introduced during current fiscal year and all preparations have been completed in this connection.
He expressed these views while presiding over a high level meeting of sub-committee of PPF here on Tuesday, an official said. He said besides PPF, Punjab General Provident Investment Fund (PGPIF) is being introduced and a sub-committee has been set up to finalise its recommendations.
He directed the concerned authorities to meet the deadline regarding introduction of funds and submit final recommendations within stipulated period.
He also directed to devise proper strategy for usage of public resources. Chairman Planning and Development, Secretary Finance and other high-ranking officials also attended the meeting.
