KAMPALA: The Ugandan shilling slightly strengthened on Tuesday, underpinned by sagging demand and removal of excess local currency liquidity from the interbank via a 191 billion shillings ($53.06 million) repo mop up.
At 0925 GMT commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,600/3,610, from Monday's close 3,605/3,615.
