India released 14 Pakistani fishermen from Gujarat and they would be taken to Wagah border for repatriation to Pakistan. Official sources in Indian Gujarat State said the prisoners were released on Wednesday and they are being taken to Wagah.
Media reports quoting DSP H K Patel in Kutch said all eight Pakistani fishermen in Bhuj jail in Kutch district had been released. Jamnagar DSP Piyush Patel informed that six Pakistani fishermen lodged in a jail in the city have also been freed and they are on their way to Wagah border. With this, all 14 fishermen from Pakistan have been released, India claimed. They are expected to be handed over to Pakistan in a day or two.
