The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) was established in Gilgit, the capital town of Northern Areas. The Wasa will also work as an independent agency in the Public Health Engineering Sector. Engineer Nazir Hussain, Deputy Director Wasa, Northern Areas told APP here on Thursday.
The newly appointed Deputy Director said that the agency would be supervised by Secretary Works Northern Areas. Giving details, he said that the newly established agency, would be responsible for water supply, maintenance of sewerage and drainage system of city area.
