Principal Information Officer (PIO), Ghulam Hazoor Bajwa took charge of his office here on Friday. Bajwa, who is a senior officer of the Information Group and has an experience of around 31 years, was appointed as PIO on Thursday. He has served against different important posts in the Ministry of Information during the period.
He has also served as Press Councillor, Pakistan embassy in Moscow and Tokyo. Prior to his new assignment, Bajwa was serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Keeping in view his professional competence, the Information Ministry has also given him the additional charge of Managing Director, Associated Press of Pakistan.
