LONDON: Exxon Mobil seeks to sell a liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from Australia's giant Gorgon export facility in June, raising the possibility of an early restart to the partly-idled plant, trade sources said.
Exxon Mobil was offering to deliver the cargo in the second-half of June and bids were due by Wednesday, sources said.
The tender was being taken as a sign that Train 1, which was idled in mid-May, would return to production earlier than expected, traders said.
Gorgon operator Chevron previously said Train 1 would remain offline until about June 15.
