Pakistan government would be dispatching another relief goods consignment for Chinese earthquake-affected people on Wednesday. According to National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), two C-130 sorties have already carried 500 blankets, 300 tents, 1000 plastic mats, three tons bottled water and four tons medicines on May 16.
The Federal Government has also decided to dispatch 4 additional C-130 sorties carrying approximately 900 tents to China, initially scheduled for May 20, would now be dispatched on May 21, due to weather conditions. The Prime Minister's Secretariat has directed the authorities concerned to make necessary arrangements for dispatch of these relief goods. Moreover, one field hospital remains standby for want of clearance from Chinese government.
