The Health Department has stopped up 18 medical officers of various districts for conducting medicolegal and post-mortem examination after receiving string of complaints of irregularities and rules violation. Sources told Business Recorder here on Tuesday.
The department is already conducting inquiry into fix responsibility on account of irregularities to hold them accountable. The Medical Officers (MOs), who were debarred from performing their duties are included Dr Amjad Pervez, Medical Officer, RHC Chountra, Rawalpindi, Dr Shahid Manzoor, MO, THQ Hospital; Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Dr Zahida Imtiaz, APWMO, THQ Hospital Shakargarh, Narowal, Dr Munir Ahmad Ghouri, MO, DHQ Hospital, Sheikhupura; Dr Riaz Ahmad SMO, RHC Kala Shah Kaku, Sheikhupura; Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, MO, DHQ Hospital, Kasur; Dr Arif Mahmood, MO, THQ Hospital, Chunian, Kasur; Dr Abdul Majeed, MO, THQ Hospital, Pattoki, Kasur; Dr Farrukh Butt, SMO, RHC Kala Shah Kaku, District Sheikhupura; Dr Aftab Rana, MO, RHC, Bama Bala, Okara; Dr Pervez Akhter, MO, RHC, Dijkot, Faisalabad.
