A two-member delegation of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on Tuesday met the Punjab University Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran. The delegation included Higher Education Specialist, Dr Jerry Boardman and Evaluation Team Member, Rafiq Jaffer.
The vice chancellor briefed the delegation about various academic and research programmes of the varsity. Dr Kamran said that 30 percent of the university's 600 faculty members are PhDs adding that the varsity is providing maximum facilities to its faculty members for undertaking Doctorate Degree.
University External Linkages Director, Professor Dr Najma Najam told the delegation that the university has signed agreements with many foreign universities for collaboration in academic and research activities and students-teachers exchange programmes. Rafiq Jaffer informed the vice chancellor that they were interested in industry-academia linkages and quality assurance system of the Punjab University.
