PIA flight engineers' dismissal order withdrawn

PIA management has withdrawn the dismissal order of 42 flight engineers, restoring all flight engineers to their respective posts. Following the grounding of Boeing 747 jumbo jets, the former management of PIA had relieved all 42 flight engineers.
The engineers had challenged PIA's decision in Sindh High Court, where PIA management during the hearing today withdrew their dismissal order. PIA Managing Director, Captain Ijaz Haroon told private news channel that flight engineers were serving PIA since long and their sudden dismissal from service was a wrong step, therefore, the order has been withdrawn. The MD said the management was reviewing employees' other cases also and all such cases, where injustice is found done with the employees, would be taken back.
