The District Consumer's Court (DCC) while attending to a string of customers' complaints on Friday has fined travel agent and shop owners. Abdul Majeed, a complainant claimed that one Fargeuz Zubair had received Rs 30, 000, a passport and an identity card for Umrah but refused to refund the amount and return the documents.
The court issued a notice to the respondent and ordered him to pay Rs 30,000 to the petitioner. In another complaint, a consumer, Syed Naveed Abbas claimed that the Manager, Trance World Traders had supplied him defective products and refused to refund him the money paid against the products. The court issued notice to the respondent and ordered him to refund the claimed amount.
The court also heard a complaint from Mahmood Nawaz filed against Muhammad Imran saying that he had paid Imran in advance but the latter delayed in supplying food items however, did not refund him the money. As a result, the complainant suffered huge loss.The court ordered the respondent to refund Rs 4, 450 to the petitioner.
