Arabica coffee futures trading on ICE Futures US were up in early trade Friday, while cocoa was mixed, in quiet dealings ahead of the holiday long weekend. July arabica contract up 0.30 cent at $1.345 per lb at 9:19 am EDT (1319 GMT), trades from $1.3315 to $1.354.
The rest from 0.25 to 0.55 cents higher. July volume at 4,774 lots by 9:20 am Mild support from the weaker dollar, said traders. July cocoa contract down $2 at $2,572 per tonne at 9:20 am, range from $2,564 to $2,595. The rest from $6 lower to $7 higher. July contract volume at a light 1,931 lots by 9:21 am. Light support from firm sterling against dollar supportive, said traders. Total volume Thursday at 22,578 lots, down from 30,431 previously, according to ICE data.
