Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has reiterated his government's resolve to restore the dignity of the common man by providing all necessities of life to them. He was talking to a delegation of legislators and notables from Faisalabad Division led by Punjab Senior Minister Raja Riaz.
Recalling the commitment and vision of late Zulifqar Ali Bhutto and Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed for building an egalitarian economy, Gilani said that his government was fully committed to materialise the vision of the leaders. He said that the government was paying due attention on the uplift of neglected and underdeveloped areas.
"The challenges being faced by the country needed immediate and effective solutions", he noted. "That is why we are taking all the mainstream political parties of the country along the board to meet the challenges", he added.
Referring to the public mandate given to other parties including PML-N, ANP and JUI, Prime Minister said that govt has had great regards of their mandate. Regarding the electricity and wheat crises, Prime Minister expressed his optimism that these would be overcome.
On the occasion he urged the PPP workers to remain in constant touch with masses for redressal of their problems. Meanwhile, Governor Punjab Salman Taseer also met the Prime Minister. During the meeting matters of national importance came under discussion between them.
