As many as 65 health teams have been constituted to treat monsoon flood-affected patients across the district, said EDO Health Dr Zafar Alvi on Saturday. Talking to newsmen, he said that out of those teams 37 were stationary, while 28 were mobile, adding the district had been divided into 15 sectors and 31 sub-sectors.
Dr Zafar said the action plan had been finalised to provide succour to the flood affectees, adding that monsoon floods usually hit the area in July-August. He said during flood, different types of epidemics spread in the flood-hit areas, and added that snakebite incidents also take place for which vaccine was being arranged. He further said the livestock department had also chalked out a programme to vaccinate the cattle and other animals ahead of floods.
