Islamabad High Court (IHC) during the last week (from May 19 to May 23) has decided a total of 480 cases. A total of 970 cases were fixed out of which 480 were decided by the five Single and two Division Benches.
Five Single Benches decided a total of 439 cases including 217 by the Chief Justice Sardar Mohammad Aslam, 71 by Justice Mohammad Munir Paracha, 64 by Justice Dr Sajid Qureshi, 28 by Justice Qalb i Hassan and 68 by Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan, Secretary to CJ Ejaz Ahmed told APP.
While two Division Benches headed by Chief Justice Sardar Mohammad Aslam and Justice Mohammad Munir Paracha also decided a total of 41 cases in the last week.
The Division Benches headed by Chief Justice decided 26 while the other Division Benches disposed of 15 cases. These decided cases belonged to murder, award of imprisonment, bail matters, election matters and others to tax reference, writ petitions, death sentences and civil matters.
