Following an acute water shortage in the main Rohri Canal, the Irrigation department has chalked out a water rotation programme for judicious distribution of water to the growers, the Executive Engineer, Irrigation, Naseer, Hyderabad Division said this on Sunday.
As per plan, the water flow will continue in Tando Allahyar I, Balghani Distributory, Tando Soomro-II, Shaikh Moosa, Gharib Distributory of Tando Allahyar Sub-Division, Pir Sakhi-I, Pir Sakhi-II, Chaang and Chach Minors and from RD-195 to RD-220 of Chaang Sub-Division, RD-278 to RD-354, Basran-I, Sorhadi, Khoski, Chaango, Aliabad and Amirlo Minors of Khairpur Gambo Sub-Division till May 29, 2008, he said. Similarly, the water flow in Shah Latif, Tajpur, Qaiser Minors, Kaneer-I Distributory and from RD-891 to RD-970 of Tajpur Sub-Division, Soomarki Kaneer-II and Seri Distributaries, Maati, Mullan and Ghotano Minors and DO Main Rohri Canal from RD- 915 to RD-1038 will remain continued till June 1, 2008.
