England set to face Bangladesh in ICC CT2017 opener
Cricket carnival is about to begin in England with the hosts are all set to face Bangladesh in the opening match of ICC Champions Trophy.
Bangladesh, who are appearing in the tournament after a decade, will be aiming to repeat their World Cup 2015 performance against Morgan XI.
The signs were encouraging as the Tigers racked up 342 in their opening warm-up match, against Pakistan, as Tamim Iqbal smashed 102 off 93 balls - a match Pakistan won by two wickets with three balls remaining.
However one day after England slipped to 20-6 in the third ODI against South Africa, Bangladesh collapsed to 22-6 before losing to India by 240 runs.
The hosts [England] have something to cheer about as their dependable all-rounder Ben Stokes is fit for the match.
Stokes has been struggling with a knee injury and was forced to sit out the final one-day international against South Africa on Monday.
"Ben Stokes has had a little bowl today. We will see how he pulls up tomorrow to see how much he will bowl but I certainly see him bowling," Sky News quoted Morgan, who also confirmed Chris Woakes is available for selection after missing two games in the one-day series against the Proteas.
"Chris Woakes is 100 per cent fit. He's come through the last two or three days really well," he added.
