Director General, Japan Cultural Center Toshikazu Isomura on Monday visited Karachi Press Club and called on President KPC Najeeb Ahmed and other office-bearers.
On the occasion he said that though Pakistan and Japan are situated far from each other but their culture values are similar in many contexts, especially in poetry, saying Pakistani and Japanese poets write poetry of peace and love.
He said that it was a pleasure for him that he had visited the KPC on occasion of its 50-year celebrations. He hoped that KPC would continue to discharge its responsibilities for independence of media.
The Director General Japanese Cultural Center said a Japanese women's organisation was holding a cultural programme in June at the Culture Center for promoting Japanese cultural values, which would be helpful in promoting cultural ties of both countries.President KPC Najeeb Ahmed briefed the guest on arrangements regarding the Golden Jubilee celebrations of KPC. Vice President Saeed Sarbazi, Secretary General KPC Imtiaz Faran, and other office-bearers of KPC were also present.
