Pakistan Railways Chairman Muhammad Kashif Murtaza has directed the officials to make feasibility reports for double track on the sections of the railway lines where there is a single track, so that PC-1 and PC-2 of these sections can be approved and plans to be made for the up-gradation of signalling.
Kashif Murtaza said telecommunication system should be upgraded, so that the progress in railway system could be made on right path. He expressed these views while addressing the railway officers at the railway headquarters here on Friday.
He further said that work on approved projects should start as early as possible. He also stressed on the implementation on time table of trains and directed the Chief Operating Superintendent Muhammad Saleem to take all measures for timely movement of trains so that passengers reach their destination easily.
