At least six people were killed and 11 others injured when a Hajera-bound bus plunged into a deep ravine while negotiating a sharp turn, some 160 km from here, on Friday. According to police sources, a wagon (DNWFP 8696) carrying passengers was heading towards Hajera from Rawalakot, fell into deep ravine when its driver lost control over the vehicle due to overspeeding.
As result six people were killed on the spot and 11 others sustained injuries. Six of the injured are in serious condition. A police party rushed to site of accident and carried out relief and rescue operation. The residents of the nearby locality also helped the police in the operation.
The dead were identified as Muhammad Yousaf, Muhammad Khan, Makhan, Suleman, Mir Muhammad and Azam. The seriously injured are identified as Nazir, Farooq, Sarwar Jan, Tayyaba and Mohammad Saghir. The injured were rushed to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Rawalakot. Police have registered the case and started investigation into the accident.
