Former federal minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said that President Pervez Musharraf will not quit the office during the days to come, especially when the ruling alliance is itself set to ditch each other. Talking to a private television channel on Friday, he said that the President would not like to serve as Chaudhry Fazal Elahi or Rafiq Tarar.
He said nothing was happening. As far as the idea to vacate the house where he lives is concerned, he said that this was the house of M.P Bhandara where Z. A. Bhutto and other rulers had also stayed. Bhutto had convened students meeting at the premises. If people thought he should vacate this house, he must do it, he added.
To a question about the meeting of the Chief of Army Staff with President Pervez Musharraf, Sheikh Rashid termed it as a routine meeting. He said some two or three days ago all these men were together at a dinner of the Air Force. They had a particular lifestyle and met even for four or five times a month, he clarified.
