The GC University Lahore Syndicate has ordered a probe into the allegations levelled against former Deputy Director Computer Sciences/Project Director and Incharge Networking Tariq Malik. The syndicate has appointed Professor Dr Saeed Iqbal as inquiry officer to look into the allegations of financial irregularities levelled against Malik.
Registrar Sahibzada Faisal Khurshid has said that one allegation against Malik is that he joined Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) services without resigning from the post held by him at the university, which is quite contrary to the terms and conditions of his appointment. The registrar further said that the inquiry report would soon be completed and placed before the University Syndicate to decide the case.
