A case has surfaced against DSP Sabzazar and two other officials on charges of poor investigation into a murder case and corruption. Inspector Tariq Mehmood, Sub-Inspector Ijaz Cheema and constable Karam Elahi were arrested and sent behind the bar at the same police station where they were posted.
As per details, a murder case No 676/07 was registered under section 302, 148, 149 and 7ATA at police station Hanjerwall and Inspector Tariq Mehmood was authorised to investigate the case but the said official did not fulfil the legal requirements and conducted a wrong investigation. SPO Township also held the investigation staff of police station Hanjerwall responsible for negligence and corruption. An application was lodged with DIG Investigation, Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhaira in which serious allegations were levelled against SPO Sabzazar, Incharge Investigation and other two officials for not upholding merit during investigation and accepting huge amount as bribe from the accused party.
