The shopkeepers are busy in fleecing the consumers with both hands in Sialkot district. The shopkeepers are charging their own prices on various articles of daily use as well as cigarettes are also being sold on higher cost as compared to the fixed prices.
It is unfortunate that the government has completely failed to control the price hike and the political leaders are ignoring the basic issues confronting the common man. The tall claims of the district administration is turning out to be hollow as the spiralling prices of commodities are adversely affecting the common man.
The current unprecedented hike in prices of vegetables, fruits and other articles of daily use has put immense pressure on consumers in Sialkot district. The price control committees have failed to control the price hike resultantly the shopkeepers are fleecing the consumers with both the hands.
Meanwhile, consumers especially the women folk urged upon the government to take immediate steps for controlling the increasing prices and demanded the overhauling of district price control committee to facilitate the consumers.
