The Karachi Goods Carrier's Association (KGCA) in collaboration with other organisations has decided to restrict by road supply of goods to Punjab in protest against the discriminative action by the law enforcers. This was said by a press release issued here on Wednesday.
This was decided in a meeting and attended by the representatives of Sindh Goods Truck and Trailers Owners Association, Pakistan Transport Federation, Karachi Truck Dealers and Brokers Welfare Association, Supreme Council All Karachi Transport Ittehad and KGCA.
Press release said that the trend of hijacking of loaded goods carriers were rapidly increasing at Punjab highways, moreover, police have failed to curb the culprits and became the silent viewers.
It, however, said that police were forced by some influential persons to patronise the cargo hijackers to continue their illegal activities. The supply will not be restated until all hijackers will not be detained, release said.-PR
