District Consumer's courts have dealt with three cases of consumers on various complaints. The court has taken the notice of a complaint of Muhammad Ahsan Hashmi against proprietor of style appliance, that they sold defective washing machine to the consumer on higher price and were not ready to repair the washing machine.
The court has issued notice to the respondent and ordered to refund the price of washing machine Rs 7550 and lawyer fee Rs 2500 to the petitioner. On a complaint by Muhammad Muiner, the District Consumer Court ordered the proprietor of Sarfraz shoes to replace the shoe and also pay Rs 1500/- to the petitioner as compensation.
Muhammad Muiner pleaded that the said the respondent provided him defective shoes (smaller in size) and were not ready to return. In another case, Tahir Masood filed complained against mobile phone manager Najjam Butt that they had provided him with a defective mobile phone and refused to replace it. The court issued notice to the respondent. In the court petitioner said grievance has been solved so the case has been disposed off.
