Dr Ashraf said that National Core Group of Life Sciences (NCGLS) has trained more than 2000 experts by organising 36 workshops through out the country. He added the NCGLS not only provided resources to the life sciences institutions in order to upgrade the research laboratories but also provided funding for the libraries.
He urged the need for most effective continuation of the role of NCGLS for capacity enhancement of young scientists of the country. Dr Muhammad Ashraf acclaimed the role of dynamic leadership of Chairman HEC Professor Dr Atta-ur-Rehman and Dr Anwar Naseem for playing most effective role in promoting research culture and human resource development activities in all public and private universities of the country. The delegation emphasised that there is a tremendous potential to expand the role of NCGLS in the country due to its significant development in the field of HRD and applied research.
