I think this was a pre-planned interview. The objective was to portray the good image of the army as it has lost its credibility among the masses after Bajaur, Swat, Waziristan and on top of that Lal Masjid operation. Kiyani put the blame on Musharraf that he was responsible for everything not the army.
Another objective was to promote Nawaz Sharif which suggests that US is backing him till now. But one good thing in that interview was that he clearly exposed Musharraf's false claim that if we didn't support US it would throw us into the stone age.
Now this argument is baseless. People must not support persons like Musharraf. Why did we allow US to bomb our own people? Was it a crime that they want to establish Islam in this country? Put aside their method, this was not the main objective to get a separate homeland? We sacrificed four million people for the establishment of Islamic state.
Now if someone talks about Islam, he is called a terrorist. People like Kiyani must support the Islamic state-Khilafah in this country which will unite all the Muslim states under one banner.
