It is a matter of immense pleasure that NUST is growing by leaps and bounds as a research-intensive university. The quality of research at any university can be ascertained from the tangible impact of its Research & Development output on further research and innovative solutions to problems confronting the industry and indeed the society as a whole.
It is very heartening that NUST has developed vibrant linkages with the industry and has launched bold initiatives to protect and promote intellectual work of its academia and attract and support budding entrepreneurs to undertake potentially viable projects under the able guidance of experts.
Technology incubation is a time-tested model with proven success. NUST's initiative in this direction speak of the quality of its research and confidence of its faculty and management to venture into nation-building projects. I am confident NUST will serve as a role model for other institutions of higher learning in pursuing need-based innovative research.
