Tsung-Hua Yang of Taiwan won the junior boys singles title at the French Open on Sunday defeating Poland's 12th seed Jerzy Jankowicz 6-3, 7-6 (7/5) The unseeded Yang was well in control of the first set but fell 0-5 down in the second before clawing his way back to force a tense tie-break which he won 7/5.
It was a case of one stage better for the Taipei resident who lost to Australia's Bernard Tomic in the junior boys final at the Australian Open in January. Tomic lost in the quarter-finals in Paris, while Yang defeated second seed Cesar Ramirez of Mexico in straight sets in the semi-finals.
"I am very happy to win this game," Yang said. "I was 5-0 down in the second set and I thought I had already lost the set. But then I broke back and just played one game at a time.
