Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Irfan Ali has urged all the officers of his department for adopting a friendly attitude with the visiting public and performs official duties with honesty and dedication with a view to earning goodwill for the Authority.
Chairing a weekly progress review meeting of directors here on Monday, the Director General observed that LDA was a public service organisation and all officers and officials should strive for bringing about a visible improvement in the living conditions of people of Lahore.
He called upon them for rectifying public complaints with in minimum possible time besides ensuring transparency in the execution of official work and up holding rules and regulations at all cost. "All the Directors were responsible for the efficient performance of their respective directorates. Negligence will never be tolerated with regard to solution of day-to-day problems of the people and full departmental support will be provided to the directors for taking action against corrupt and in-efficient officials," he added.
Ali will telephonically receive public complaints regarding water and sanitation problems of the people residing in service area of Wasa. For this purpose, he will be available on telephone nos. 9201501 and 9201502 from 8.00 am to 9.00 am on every Thursday and Friday. Concerned Wasa officials will also be present at this occasion. They will take immediate action to redress public grievances registered through telephone calls.
