Arabica coffee futures on ICE Futures US slid 3.5 percent early on Monday on liquidation, while cocoa futures traded mixed as traders said rollover period is heating up. July arabica contract down 4.70 cents, or 3.5 percent, to $1.3115 per lb at 9:26 am EDT (1326 GMT), trades from $1.3090 to $1.3605.
The rest from 4.30 to 4.70 cents lower. July volume at 7,723 lots by 9:27 am July cocoa contract loses $36 to $2,858 a tonne by 9:09 am EDT (1309 GMT). However, September futures up $10 to $2,879 a tonne. July volume by 09:12 am EDT (1312 GMT) was 2,142 lots compared with 7,072 lots on Friday's busy session. September turnover was 1,453 lots. July futures trade in a narrow range between $2,844 and $2,878 per tonne, after achieving their highest level since March 17 at $2,896 a tonne on Friday. Other contracts ranged from $11 lower to $24 higher.
