Estate Management Directorate staff of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has carried on with its clean-up campaign for the third consecutive day by flattening temporary and permanent constructions flouting the building by-laws on both sides of Multan Road - from Tokhkar Chowk to Hanjarwal.
The authority on Tuesday razed four illegally built restaurants, several road ramps and 12 temporary shops and billboards blocking traffic. The authority has demolished 30 temporary shops, over 100 boards and scores of road ramps and stairways in the past three days.
They also demolished four sites preparing poultry feeds along the drain near the Tolinton Market. The authority's Town Planning Directorate also got rid of an under-construction commercial building built on a residential plot in Block J-3 of Johar Town. They also foiled an attempt aimed at grabbing a plot in the Johar Town area and demolished the boundary wall.
