Thunderstorm, rain forecast in Punjab, Northern Areas, Kashmir

Meteorological Department forecast scattered dust and thunderstorm with rain in eastern Punjab including Islamabad during next 48 hours. According to meteorological analysis, a well-marked low-pressure area lying over North Arabian Sea is weakening rapidly and has moved westwards. Seasonal low lies over Western Balochistan and adjoining areas.
While weak south-westerly currents from Arabian Sea are entering into upper parts of the country. Scattered thunderstorm and rain may occur in Kashmir and Northern Areas including earthquake affected areas during next few days.
In Sindh and Balochistan, hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the province during next few days. However, isolated dust thunderstorm and rain may occur in south-eastern Sindh and its coastal areas and in Makran coast during next 36 hours.
