The Islamic University on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Maldives College for Higher Education for academic co-operation between the faculties of Shariah & law of the two institutions in teaching Shariah and Islamic laws.
Dr Tahir Mansoori, Dean Faculty of Shariah & Law IIUI as well as Professor Fayyaz Ali Manik, Dean Faculty of Shariah & Law, Maldives signed the agreement document in the presence of the President of Islamic University, Dr Anwar Hussain Siddiqui.
The co-operation between the two signing institutions concentrates on the academic staff to accomplish research projects. The Islamic University at Islamabad will nominate an expert in Shariah law for the Maldives Higher Education, as well as facilitate the development of skill development in understanding and interpretation of Shariah.
