Rescue 1122 and government hospitals in the Punjab capital, Lahore, were ordered to be high alert in view of lawyers long march which reached Lahore on Wednesday. Sources said the provincial government had asked the hospitals management to ensure availability of medicines as well as staff round the clock.
The vehicles of Rescue 1122 accompanied bby the caravan of deposed Chief Justice, Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, who arrived Lahore through a PIA flight from Multan.
Moreover, the PML-N has set up reception camps on the way from Lahore airport to Lahore High Court chowk. The PML-N leaders and workers accompanied the caravan. National anthem was being played at these camps.
