In connection with the 55th birthday of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) AJK Chapter would celebrate 'Benazir Shaheed Week' from June 15 to 22. PPP has started preparations in this regard. PPP AJK office-bearers said that during the ceremonies PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari was expected to deliver a telephonic address.
They said Peoples Students Federation (PSF), Youth Women Chapter, Lawyers Forum and other wings of the party would organise these programmes. During the weeklong celebrations, the services and sacrifices of Benazir Bhutto as well as her father Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's revolutionary notions would be highlighted, they said. About celebrations, they said.
PPP would organise processions, seminars, dialogues and other celebrations during the week at Tehsils, districts and city levels in AJK and NAs. PPP AJK Chapters in America, Britain, Canada, Norway, Germany, Holland and United Arab Emirates would also hold programmes to mark the day, they added. People belonging to all school of thoughts including politicians, lawyers, students, journalists, traders and people from religious organisations, NGOs and civil societies would participate in the series of events.
