The Karachi Port handled 96,343 tonnes of cargo including 45,070 tonnes of import, 51,273 tonnes of export cargo and 5,048 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday.
The cargoes comprised of 80,159 tonnes of dry cargo including 56,433 tonnes of general cargo; 10,200 tonnes of coal; 3,130 tonnes of rock phosphate; 10,396 tonnes of cement and 16,184 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Five ships namely Fantasy-I, Kota Mesra, Kapitan Byankin, APL Pusan and OEL Strenght sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Six vessels Kota Mesra, Hanjin Qingdao, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Fu Ning Hai, Full Rich and Chemstar Venus are currently at the berths.
Two vessels viz Sea Princess and Ltc Calvin P. Titus expected to sail on Friday while four ships namely Hanjin Qingdao, Full Rich, High Trader and Cosco Lian Yun Gang are expected to sail on Saturday. Five vessels viz Golden Brilliance, Robin, Bunga Terasek, Sima Sahba and Blida due to arrive on Friday while eight ships namely Skychemi, MT Johar, OEL Mumbai, Saigo Express, Kota Gunawan, Harmony, Sima Pride and Jiao Cheng are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 62,789 tonnes including 43,910 tonnes of import, 18,879 tonnes of export cargo and 1,624 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 25,341 tonnes of crude oil; 382 tonnes of MEG; 8,347 tonnes of iron ore; 3,792 tonnes of rice; 3,459 tonnes of cement and 21,468 tonnes of containerised cargo. Four vessels viz MT Eastern Tera, MT Sakura Princess, CV Dubai Express and CV Saudi Tabuk sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
A total of five ships namely MSC Gianna, Sinar Agra, Yasa Ilhan, YM Cultivation and Jin Yuan carrying containers, chemicals, iron ore, coal and coke respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Eight vessels viz CV Dubai Express, CV Saudi Tabuk, MV Mustafa Bey, MV Sinai, MV Chitral, MT Eastern Tera, MT Sakura Princess and MV Kaghan are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, rice, MEG, crude oil and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
Three ships namely CV MSC Gianna, CV QIA Al Fuja'a and MT Sinar Agra carrying containers and chemicals are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and EVTL respectively on Friday. Four vessels viz MT Ginga Lion, CV Sea Land Patriot, CV MSC Rosa-M and CV Sima Pars due to arrive on Saturday. Three more ships namely CV QIA Al Fuja'a, Al-Soor-II and Berenice carrying containers, diesel oil and cement are also due to arrive.
