The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has claimed having arrested four mobile snatchers and recovered weapons, mobile phones and other valuables from their possession. This was stated by Hasan Dal SSP SIU at a press conference, held at SIU office here on Sunday.
He said that special team, led by Wasif, DSP, SIU, was established on the direction of Ghulam Qadir Tahboo, DIG, investigation for taking action against street criminals. He said the team took action on a tip-off according to which four-member gang was active snatching mobiles in different areas of the city.
Dal said four snatchers including Ameen alias Memon, Naeem alias Nabi, Mohsin and Waqar Ahmed were arrested in different raids and four pistols, 20 rounds, seven mobiles and two motorcycles were recovered from their possession. He said that a case has been registered against them.
