Pawel Starzyk of Poland competes in the slalom of the men’s super-combined at the International Polish Alpine Skiing Championship, on 24 March. Super-combined consists of a single run of slalom, and a shortened normal downhill ski run. Starzyk had successfully completed the downhill race, but fell and did not complete the slalom run.

Andrzej Grygiel was born in 1966 and studied journalism at the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. He was a photographer for the daily press in the Silesia until 2005, when he began working for the Polish Press Agency.
