The Technology Up-gradation and Skill Development Company (Tusdec) is planning to launch the "senior experts advisory service". The service aims at guiding people in technical and management fields to provide the manufacturing sector access.
The 38.24 million-rupee project will help manufacturing industries, though based on the project's success, the scope may be broadened to other sectors. "The industry will be able to access both resident and expatriate Pakistani experts according to their requirements and Tusdec will act as a mediating body between businesses and experts," a company spokesman said.
"Advisors will be engaged or accessed by businesses to resolve issues pertaining to areas such as productivity, management and research and development. The projects like SEAS would help transform Pakistan into a knowledge-based economy with an objective to enable it join the club of fast progressing nations."
