The 16th meeting of the Senate of NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi will be held at its campus on June 24. This was announced by Registrar of the institution Engineer Javed Aziz Khan on Saturday. He said that Governor of Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ibad Khan, who is also the Chancellor of the public sector universities in the province, would preside.
Vice Chancellor Engineer Abul Kalam will present the annual report on the occasion. The budget of the institution will also be presented for approval. The NED is one of the oldest engineering education institutions in the country. It was elevated to the status of the university in the year 1977. It is imparting education in 21 disciplines- 19 of these are engineering disciplines.
