Federal government has named the under construction 1300 feet long bridge over River Tavi as "Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Bridge". PPP's MNA Dr Fardous Ashiq Awan disclosed this while talking to the newsmen here on Sunday.
She said that the government has also directed the concerned departments to jazz up the construction work and to ensure the early completion of this project in the larger interest of the local people.
Four years ago, the PML-Q government had started the Rs 200 million project of establishing 1300 feet long bridge over River Tavi near Bajwat for providing advanced means of communication to the people of Bajwat area, far off bordering villages. Now, PPP government has named this project as "Benazir Bhutto Bridge" in a bid to take all the political credit of this project by wondering the local people.
