A genuine criminal case registered against an influential landlord and police for trespassing a house and humiliating women was hushed up despite the clear instructions of Chief Minister and IGP to investigate the case on merit.
Complainant Pir Zafar Hussain Shah on Sunday told the newsmen that on the orders of CPO, Faisalabad, DIG Aslam Tareen, FIR was registered with Bhalik Police against Bhawal Sher, a landlord of Mouza Pindi Sheikh Musa, Falik Sher, Sub Inspector and Nasir Ladhayka ASI of Bhalik Police, district Faisalabad for trespassing the house and humiliating the women.
He further alleged that Inspector, Investigation Mehdi Hussain Shah who was conducting investigation on merit, all of sudden despite ban, was got transferred by the influential accused and got Inspector of their choice, Iqbal Hussain Baloch posted while former SHO Abdul Majeed Chaudhry, after registration of the case visited the accused more than six times in the presence of elite of the town, which reflected his full patronage to criminals.
He said although the presence of accused was disclosed to police several times but not even a single accused including police official was arrested. When IG ordered their immediate arrest, the then SHO provided them safe passage for pre-arrest bail.
About another high handedness, Pir Zafar Hussain Shah further alleged that his school going son was kidnapped by the same accused and FIR on the order of CPO was registered with City Police, Samanduri, Faisalabad. Investigation Officer Asghar instead of arresting dined with the accused at their residence, complainant further alleged.
Despite valid evidence, facts and telephonic direction from CM secretariat and IG for conducting the investigation on merit, both the Investigation Officers discharged the police and influential landlord accused from the case, he alleged.
