Punjab Minister for Population Welfare Neelam Jabbar Chaudhry donated blood here at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in connection with the 55th birthday of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. Recalling the political will of Benazir Bhutto, she said that PPP would continue to fight extremism, ignorance and poverty in the country.
The minister said that the party workers have dedicated themselves to the ideals for which Benazir Bhutto struggled for and laid down her life. The minister expressed these views while addressing the volunteers and party workers who had gathered to donate blood at the Emergency Ward of the hospital.
Appreciating the enthusiasm of the volunteers, she said that PPP would continue the journey of sacrifices, which started with the sacrifice of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed.
The minister said that PPP believes in the power of the people and it has brought the national politics out of the drawing rooms adding the party would maintain the supremacy of law as well as the sovereignty of the people. PPP is the saviour party of the country and would continue its struggle for welfare of the people and protection of the country, she said.
