Investigation Police Saddar Division have arrested two criminals involved in a kidnapping cum murder case and seized weapon of offence as well as victim's cell phone from them. The killers hired a taxi car and kidnapped driver during journey and later murdered him.
As per details, the accused Arshad and Muhammad Saeed hired a car of Ghulam Rasool from Johar Town for Peshawar and kidnapped him near Khushab and the Johar Town police registered a kidnapping case on June, 7, 2008. DIG Investigation Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera directed SP Investigation Saddar division Sarfraz Ahmad Falki to trace the criminals involved in the said incident and a special team was constituted under the supervision of Incharge Investigation Township which arrested two felons namely Arshad and Muhammad Saeed alias Faisal.
The arrested criminals confessed during interrogation that they kidnapped Ghulam Rasool near Police Station Noshera District Khushab and later killed him and threw his dead body in a canal.
They also confessed that after that they went to Peshawar and sold the car at cheaper prices. The police recovered weapon of offence (hammer) and cell phone of the deceased. Capital City Police Officer, Muhammad Pervez Rathore has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the police raiding team.
