Chief Executive Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) Raja Abdul Ghafoor on Wednesday urged field workers to take security measures during any upgradation and rehabilitation work for safety of their lives.
Addressing a safety seminar organised by Wapda Hydroelectric Central Labour Union, the Iesco chief said providing safety to company's employees is a must as linemen are assets and backbone of the company. He said all line staff should use security instruments and directed senior officials of the company to ensure this in their respective areas to save precious lives of linemen.
He said Iesco linemen can save their lives by adopting security measures in the field work. He added senior officials should not allow workers to work in the field if they don't use security instruments.
