Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Training (Pildat) will arrange a briefing session on Overseas Pakistani Workers: Significance and Issues of Migration on Thursday. The briefing will focus on migration issues in the 21st Century as more and more people move from one country to another.
The discussion will focus on the trends of migrants from Pakistan to other countries, the system in place in Pakistan and legislation required managing migration of our citizens to other countries, in light of international customs and laws.
The number of issues likely to be discussed include magnitude and trends of migration; promoting migration & protecting migrants: institutional legal frameworks and policy institutions; key issues relating to migration and overseas Pakistani workers and the possible legislative agenda and international experience of issues in migration.
