Early recovery of kidnapped journalists directed

Rehman Malik, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior taking serious notice of the kidnapping of journalists in Fata directed the administration of Tribal Areas and Political Agent Mohmand Agency on Friday to ensure early and safe recovery of the kidnapped journalists.
The administration was told to track down the captors who have kidnapped journalists, ensure their arrest and take action under the law, Rehman Malik said in a statement issued here. Malik said that the government is committed to ensuring the protection of the lives of its citizens and use full force against lawbreakers.
He said that three persons namely Pir Zubair Shah Wazir, a freelance reporter along with Akhtar Soomro, a photographer and Abdul Hassan, a local of Mohmand Agency had gone missing from area on Thursday. Militants abducted two journalists and a local resident of Mohmand Agency after accusing them of snooping on their members and positions near the Afghan border.
