The services of three corrupt police officials were terminated while many others have been given warning to set their direction right and resolve the problems of people without any further delay.
According to details, the Regional Police Officer (RPO), Rawalpindi, Nasir Khan Durrani has terminated the services of one SI, one ASI and one Constable of Airport Police Station, Rawalpindi on the charges of corruption.
A resident of Airport Housing Colony Kashif Abbasi was abducted by SI Nazir Ahmed, ASI Muzaffar Iqbal and Constable Sajid Hussain and was kept in illegal confinement. After he paid gratification he was released. The RPO ordered SSP/RIB to inquire into the matter, who found the officials guilty during inquiry. The RPO has terminated the services of these three officials.
Meanwhile, the RPO Rawalpindi has ordered registration of murder case in Gujjar Khan Police Station, which was initially declared as suicide. A dead body of an unknown person was found hanging with a tree on Civil Hospital Road near Nursery in Gujjar Khan and local police declared it suicide.
A person of the area appeared before RPO and presented to him photographs of the body of the deceased in which the hands of deceased were tied from the back and marks of violence on his back were clear. The RPO ordered the local police to register case under section 302 PPC and directed Yaseen Farooq, SSP Operation Rawalpindi to conduct proper enquiry and submit report within two weeks.
